LB with good to tight margins (a touch cut into at the top left), tied by superb black Maltese Cross to wrapper addressed to Howden with single line 'north cave' marking on the front, and two strikes of double arch 'howden / mr 21 / 1841' d.s. on reverse. Filing fold through the middle of wrapper and light marking small tear as to be expected. R.P.S. Certificate (1988). Fine and scarce. S.G. £16,000. Photo
