Note: This trial was made by the Government Printer in Lusaka during October/November 1963. This was at the request of the G.P.O. who feared that the new issue of stamps being printed by Harrison in the U.K. would not be delivered on time for the issue date in early December. As there was only a slight delay in delivery of the Harrison stamps, which were placed on sale on 10 December, the printing of these trial stamps was not pursued
