S.G. 185, Black and purple, Long Gash printing
Unplated, an amazing example showing peculiar impression of the heads which has been explained as follows: the paper being wetted for the second printing of the frames it appears that the frame ink, when wiped across the plate, adhered to the heavily inked portion of the heads, particularly noticeable in the Queen's and King's hair, the King's beard and tunic, and which should possibly been considered for printer's waste, fresh with part original gum. An extraordinary stamp. Photo
