Frame Plate I

RSC "C", Red-brown and deep rose-lilac with "coppery" heads, Hook printing
[43], exceptional colours and well-centred, lightly mounted mint with small hinge remainder. One of the great rarities of the Double Head issue, of which only six or seven mint examples have been recorded to date, not all of which are fine. Considered the finest of this exceptionally rare stamp. Robert M. Gibbs Certificate (2011). Photo

Note: The head plate is red-brown though of a much deeper hue. The heads are clearly defined and have been referred to as "coppery". The frame plate is towards plum with the ink used being very distinct and unlike that used for any other 6d. frame
