This issue was overprinted in complete sheets of 240 and initially with "South West Africa" 16½mm. long on the upper two panes and 16mm. on the lower two panes. This order was subsequently reversed. For printings from 8 November 1926 all four panes had the 16½mm. measurement

£1 pale olive-green and red lower left and right corner blocks of four with Plate 1, mint with the right-hand block unmounted with some perfs. between stamps and margin at right severed. A scarce and attractive pair. S.G. 40a, £1,200+. Photo
