1924 (Dec.)-27 (Feb.) Settings VI and VIa
This issue was overprinted in complete sheets of 240 and initially with "South West Africa" 16½mm. long on the upper two panes and 16mm. on the lower two panes. This order was subsequently reversed. For printings from 8 November 1926 all four panes had the 16½mm. measurement
Specimen Stamps
1/-, 10/- and £1 green and red horizontal pairs, each handstamped "specimen" in violet, the 1/- and 10/- Type VI, the £1 Type VIa, and 1/-, 10/- and £1 red and olive-green singles similarly handstamped, all three Type VIa, part to large part original gum; a fraction toned in places. S.G. 35, 39, 40, 40a, £500++
