1854 (4 May) mourning envelope from Melbourne to Yorkshire via Panama, marked "Per Golden Age", bearing Half-Length 1853 4th printing "white veils" 3d. deep blue pairs (2) with the left stamp of the left pair showing spectacular retouch completely obliterating the corner
Note: This cover left Melbourne on 5 May en route via the Pacific to Panama, then onwards via the RMSP Co. to Southampton arriving there on 17 July.
