2c. brown affixed and uncancelled to Chinese envelope addressed to a local shop. Believed to be genuine and the only example known on cover. R.P.S. Certificate (1930) states "genuine" but without reference to the cover. Photo

Note:: In 1878 there were six Post Offices in the State but only one, Larut had a canceller. The others were equipped in 1881.
