Netherland Indies 7½c. bistre card to Germany, written in Batavia and taken to Singapore where put in the post with 4c. carmine cancelled with large oval of dots and with Singapore Paid datestamp (19.2) at foot; an unusual item on which the postage should have been 3c. though at that time the Straits Settlements did not have a 3c. adhesive
