1892 One Cent Surcharge Issue
A largely mint in depth study neatly mounted and written-up by the various Settings and Types, comprising 1c. on 2c. (89) with blocks of four (4), six, fifteen and thirty-two (Setting III and the only stamp to be produced from this Setting); 1c. on 4c. (39) with blocks of four (4, two used) and six, and singles with variety broken oval and watermark inverted (2, both without gum, one a dry print of the surcharge; 1c. on 6c. (109) with blocks of four (6, one used), six, fifteen (faded, one with "slug" flaw) and twenty-four (used), a pair (left-hand stamp) and a single both showing "one" to left of "cent" (apparently the only two examples recorded to date), and singles with "slug" flaw and watermark inverted; 1c. on 8c. (32) with three blocks of four and 1c. on 12c. (72) with blocks of four (3), fifteen and twenty-four; generally good to fine and a wonderful lot for the specialist. S.G. 88-92, c. £3,200
