1846 entire letter from Penang Hill "By Steamer or Ceylon via Marseilles" to Newcastle, rated "4/1" and with London and arrival datestamps on reverse, 1852 entire letter to Edinburgh endorsed "Overland Via Marseilles" and showing framed "bearing" handstamp, carried on the Malta, Hindostan and Haddington with London and arrival datestamps on reverse, and 1864 entire letter (franking soaked off) showing a superb strike of the Sandilands Buttery & Co. forwarding agent's cachet in red on reverse; also 1830 letter only concluded "Penang"
