1860 (17 Feb.) envelope from Cape Town to Chelmsford, bearing 1855-63 white paper 1d. rose pair with good to huge margins and 4d. deep blue with large margins on two sides, small parts of triangular cancellation and with the 4d. tied by "paid/devonport/cape-packet" (1.4) datestamp and with London Paid datestamp (2.4) alongside, manuscript accountancy "5" at lower right corner, the reverse with despatch and arrival (2.4) datestamps; non-contemporary ink notation at left though an attractive franking of the 6d.
