SD with large to very large margins (there is a scissor cut in the N.E. corner which just touches the design), well tied by a light strike of a carmine-red Maltese Cross on entire letter to The Marquis of Downshire at East Hampstead Park, the reverse with Hillsboro 1840 (20 Nov.) despatch c.d.s., Dublin (21.11) and London (22.11) c.d.s.; there are two vertical folding creases, fresh and attractive. Also matched with 1d. red-brown from state II, close to very large margins and neatly cancelled. Photo
