(g) Victoria (1837-1901), 'Golden Jubilee' Specimen Set 1887 (11), Five Pounds to Half-Sovereign, Crown to Threepence, the gold all exhibiting light handling marks, nevertheless the Five-Pounds quite brilliant, the Two-Pounds similarly so, the Sovereign and Half with more subdued, somewhat frosted lustre, all extremely fine or considerably better, the silver with variable tone and undoubtedly composite, some cleaned and retoned the larger pieces lustrous and with purplish-blue hues, generally extremely fine, some as struck, overall a fine 'Specimen' Currency set, in contemporary Lowe and Sons of Chester fitted and dated case (11)
