G•' ANG•' FRA•' ET • HIB•' REGINA •, tall crowned bust 8A left, wearing elaborate bodice of finely incised workmanship, annulet stops, rev. SCVTVM • FIDEI • PROTEGET • EAM •, crowned garnished shield, dividing E-R, annulet stops, 11.24g, 8h, m.m. woolpack (Brown and Comber F6; Lockett 1982 same obverse die; Schneider I, 799; North 2008; Spink 2354), trace doubling to reverse legend and scrubbed before portrait with resultant hairlines and brightness, otherwise lustrous and pleasingly round, a most handsomely bold very fine, rare in this condition
