AQ, King standing in ship, holding sword and shield bearing French arms of four lys, ropes 3/1, quatrefoils 4/4, 1-1-1-1, crescent on rudder, waves buffeting below, rev. + ihC .' AVTEM 'x TRAnSIEnS : PER : MEDIV .' ILLORVM x' IBAT, floriated cross, 7.70g, 7h, p.m. -/cross pattee (Walters [1913] 233 = Ryan 23 = Schneider I, 190 same dies; North 1336; Spink 1705), a scuff to nose and some very minor rim furling on an irregular but full-weight planchet of this Lancastrian 'Heavy Coinage' scarcity, with only minor die softness in the third quarter, otherwise much as issued and nearly extremely fine, a prized rarity, especially in this wonderful condition
