                        James II (1685-1688), Shilling, 1687 over 6, first bust, rev. five strings to harp, obliquely milled edge, 6h, 6.05g (Bull 769; ESC 1072; W H Lampard 2171 same reverse die; Pywell-Phillips 128; Spink 3410), an electrifying example with pleasing blue toning framing key devices, an unfortunate die flaw through Garter star and traces of flecking, otherwise handsomely bold, extremely fine, rare in this condition and superior to the Slaney specimen
