Anglo-Saxon England, Primary Series (680-710), Silver Sceat, Series A (A3), type 2a, radiate head right with curved exergual drapery, annulet and TIC before, rev. degenerate votive standard, tufa above containing pellet, unusual cross below, 1.20g, 90° (SCBI 69, 36; North 40; Spink 775), richly cabinet toned with traces of iridescent flare, somewhat off-centre, otherwise a most handsome extremely fine
