Charles II (1660-1685), Crown, 1665 XVII, second laureate and draped bust right, rev. crowned shields cruciform, cyphers in angles, eight strings to harp, edge lettered, 29.25g, 6h (Bull 365; ESC 31 [R3]; Pywell-Phillips 9; Spink 3355), some minor edge bruising, otherwise dark cabinet tone, only fair / fine, but the date extremely rare, and the year of Thomas Simon's death, in NGC 'Francis' holder, graded VG10 (Cert. #5878642-003)
