CHRIS | TO AVS | PICE R | EGNO, square-topped and garnished shield over cross fourchée, 14.73g, 11h, m.m. lis (Bull 14 / 1b-S [2 Listed]; Hawkins 1a²; Francis 1a; Brooker 278/277 same dies; North 2201; Spink 2764), same obverse die as next lot, the reverse die transitional from the type 1a¹, toned, very fine, rare, especially with this die combination
