James I (1603-1625), Third Coinage, Halfcrown, 1624, King on horseback right, ground line below, reads BRI FRA ET HIB, rev. square-topped and garnished shield, 14.98g, 10h, m.m. trefoil (Lockett 3342 = Clonterbrook 219 this coin; North 2122; Spink 2666), a lovely and well-balanced coin, a trace of doubling in legends, otherwise neatly cabinet toned, near very fine / good very fine, rare, especially in this condition
