Elizabeth I (1558-1603), Seventh Coinage, Halfcrown, 1601, crowned bust 9b left, sceptre before to G of REGINA, rev. square-topped shield over cross double fourchée, 14.66g, 2h, m.m. 1 (BCW 1/a-1; North 2013; Spink 2583), slightly irregular flan, otherwise handsomely toned, the struck details above average for type but occasionally soft, almost very fine and rather pleasing
