The highly-specialised Christopher Comber Collection of Elizabethan featured the mintmark crescent/crescent over escallop issue also once found in the Talbot-Ready cabinet and subsequent neighbouring lot (590 - £20.0.0) in his 1920 sale. A century later it went on to achieve an impressive £90,000 (incl. BP).
