Naval Good Shooting Medal, E.VII.R. (164445 E. Carter, P.O.1.Cl, H.M.S. Blake. 1908 3 Pr. Q.F.), good very fine
Emphraim Carter was born at Deal, Kent on 30 August 1876 and was a grocer upon his joining the Royal Navy on 30 August 1894. Having won his Naval Good Shooting Medal, he served during the Great War and was admitted to Yarmouth Hospital as a 'dangerous lunatic' on 13 September 1917. He was discharged dead from the Hospital on 19 March 1920.
