India General Service 1854-95, 3 clasps, North West Frontier, Bhootan, Perak (Sepoy Jussoo Demaie 1st Goorkha Regt.), unofficial rivets, very fine

The 1st Goorkha Regiment took part in the expedition against the Black Mountain tribes in 1868, which verifies its eligibility for the first clasp; it thence served during the campaign in Bhootan; and was the first Gurkha Regiment to serve overseas in the Perak Campaign 1875-76, during which Captain G. N. Channer, who was serving with the Regiment, was awarded the Victoria Cross.
