British South Africa Company Medal 1890-97, reverse Rhodesia 1896, no clasp (Sergt. V. M. Watermeyer. M.R.F.), very fine

Vipan Maitland Matermeyer was born in Africa in 1873 and went on to serve as a Captain with Kitchener's Horse during the Boer War and a Captain in the Rhodesia Native Regiment during the Great War. In that latter war he served with the Nyasaland Field Force in Portuguese East Africa and Nyasaland; sold together with copied service details from the National Archives of Zimbabwe.
