Anglo-Saxon England, Primary Series (680-710), Sceat, Series Z, type 66, narrow face with eyes closed, bell-shaped hair style curling outward, flanked by retrograde and normal Z, deeply forked beard with pellets interspersed between and around, rev. long-legged 'hound' or 'wild boar' right, sniffing right, erect ears, tail curls below body, angular legs and feet, sniffing right, tail curled below body intertwining rear legs, ^I^ above, 1.20g, 180° (SL 102-42; SCBI 69, 119; T&S pp. 133-9, 140-5; Gannon 28, 29, 128-9, 161, Figs. 2.7a, 4.32; North 145; Spink 782), a remarkable and most curious variety for this series with finely incised decoration, extremely fine and presumed unique
