Japanese Post Office: 1895 (8 Sept.) ½c. wrapper to U.S.A. cancelled by a light strike of the triple-ring c.d.s., with Japan 2s. Koban tied by a slightly smudged strike of Shanghai I.J.P.O. c.d.s. (11.9), there is a further despatch c.d.s. and an indistinct Shanghai Local Post c.d.s.; several horizontal creases and soiling. Sent only a few days after the reopening of the Japanese Post Office after the end of the Sino-Japanese War
