1894 (30 Oct.) red band envelope to the Imperial Customs Taku bearing, on the reverse, a corner pair of redrawn ½c. tied by the double-ring c.d.s. in red with a further strike alongside; there is some light soiling.


A rare and important cover. The local post letter rate included free delivery to the Customs Post. This is thought to be the only example sent from Chefoo to the Customs in Taku
