1890 (9 Apr.) Shanghai 2c. yellow-brown Double Dragon card to Chefoo, the card has been cancelled by manuscript "Amoy" in black ink and Shanghai Local Post c.d.s. (13.4) in turquoise and, below, a good strike of "customs/chefoo" c.d.s. (20.4) in blue. Fresh and very fine.


An important and interesting card, it appears that the postmark was not readily available and the card cancelled in manuscript. A fine inter-port card, especially with the Customs Post arrival and this is the earliest Double Dragon card used in Amoy
