1896 (1 Mar.) opened-out envelope to Ohio "via S. Francisco" bearing Japan 1894 Silver Wedding 5s. ultramarine (small tear) just tied by an indistinct strike of the I.J.P.A. Shanghai c.d.s. with a good strike of "nanking local post" bilingual oval datestamp in purple and, on the reverse, Shanghai Local Post, Yokohama (8.3) and San Francisco (27.3) c.d.s.
