1896 (12 Nov.) stampless Gunzburg envelope to Shanghai "Per S.S. 'Kiangfoo'" bearing a good strike of the local "kewkiang/paid/local post" handstamp in mauve and, on the reverse, a fine strike of the Kewkiang Local Post oval datestamp in the same colour along with Shanghai Local Post c.d.s. (14.11), the postman's pencil delivery characters and a superb and complete wax seal of bilingual "local post/kewkiang".


Clean and fine. A delightful cover and very late use of official mail and possibly the latest use of the Paid handstamp
