1896 (15 Dec.) Shanghai "postage paid 1 cent" opened-out stationery envelope (type E1c) addressed to Shanghai bearing, on the reverse, Hankow Local Post despatch c.d.s. along with the postman's delivery characters and there is a very faint strike of the Shanghai Local Post c.d.s. (18.12) on the address side; some light soiling on the reverse.


An unusual and scarce cover used some three and a half years after the introduction of Hankow's own postage stamps
