1869 (24 Sept.) half of a Rainbow wrapper addressed to Hankow bearing G.B. 1858-72 2d. blue plate 13 pair with 1867-80 1/- plate 4 tied by London "105" duplex paying the 1/4d. rate, sent "via Marseilles"; the flap shows a fair strike of Hong Kong to Shanghai Marine Sorter type 6 dated Nov 6/9 69 (Webb's Scarcity Guide RRR). This is believed to be the earliest example of this transit datestamp
