(x) Macedon, Philip III Arrhidaios (323-317 BC), AV Stater, 8.64g, 11h, Kolophon, struck under Menander or Kleitos, c. 322-319 BC, laureate head of Apollo right 'with Alexander the Great' styling, rev. Charioteer driving Biga right, tripod below horses, (Le Rider, pl. 90, no.16; Leu 72, 180, same dies), exquisitely struck up with fresh dies, lustrous, and much as issued, a truly breathtaking example worthy of the finest Greek cabinet!
