U.S.A.: Carratel Gold Mining Company (NY), $100 shares, 18[79], #73, issued to Genio C. Scott and signed by him as President, State seal in centre, black, red seal. Genio C, Scott, died 1879, began in business with a contract related to the Delaware & Hudson Canal, later becoming a fashion publisher. He wrote the well known work 'Fishing in American waters' in 1869. Copy of New York Times obituary included with the lot. VF.
