U.S.A.: Bristol Franklinite Company, $100 shares, 18[74], #138, miners at work with steam train and paddle steamer in background, red and black. Franklinite is a zinc and iron ore originally found at a mine in Franklin, New Jersey. During 1873 there was a major dispute between this company and New Jersey Zinc Company where groups of employees confronted each other. The officers of the company were charged with conspiracy to cheat and defraud and arrest warrants given to Bucks County sherrif. Uneven left margin but VF and scarce.
