Great Britain: Morecambe (Regent Road, West End) Pier Company Ltd., £1 shares, 189(6), blue, embossed seal depicting pier and shipping. This 1800 foot pier was opened in 1896. It was damaged and reduced in length after a fire in 1903 and the pavilion was wrecked by another fire in 1917. After a storm in 1927 the length was reduced to 900 feet and after a further storm in 1977 the pier was demolished. VF.
