Great Britain: Rochdale Canal Company, certificate for [6] shares, 18[05], #648 to 653, black, paper seal lower left. Incorporated in 1792 to build a 32 mile broad canal from the Bridgewater Canal in Manchester to the Calder & Hebble Navigation at Sowerby Bridge. Completed in 1804 and finally closed in 1952. GVF and scarce.
