Great Britain: Huddersfield Canal Company, one share, 1794, #1655, black printing on thick paper, lovely paper seal at left. Affectionately known as the Narrow Canal so as not to confuse it with the earlier and much large Broad Canal, the route linked the town of Huddersfield with Ashton under Lyne in the outskirts of Manchester. Acquired by the Huddersfield and Manchester Railway and Canal Company. VF and rare early issue.
