Great Britain: Grand Junction Canal, certificate for one share, 1793, #3516, large format piece printed in black with large paper seal centre left. Formed in 1793 to build the canal from Braunston, Northamptonshire, to Brentford in Middlesex. Later connected to the Regents Canal in London. Purchased the Grand Union Canal in 1894 and eventually absorbed into the British Waterways Board. Slight shadow below the seal, folds but VF and rare.
