1838-1942 collection of Scottish postal history including 24 covers, entires and fronts. Includes Edinburgh Receiving House marks "charlotte Place", "pitt street", "alexandria" and "castleton", 1838 front to Huntly with manuscript 'Missent to' and handstamp "keith", other marks included undated "reay" on cover to Thurso, experimental "leith" 1856 mark as backstamp on cover, 'Not known without a No.' in manuscript on inadequately addressed entire, Brunswick Star cancelletion on cover to Sheffield, "greenock" postmark on 1870 entire to Glasgow, attractive 1850 cover bearing 1d. pair with part 'Glasgow L' late fee mark, also 1907 early usage of registration label on cover to Edinburgh, interesting 1938 cover to Dundee with boxed "not called for/114". A useful group of marks.
