1923 (23 Dec.) A rare panoramic photograph of the Bund of Canton and Shamin photographed by Ah Fong, Canton, on December 23, 1923; the photo shows the prosperous scene of the Bund of Canton in the early 1920s. Western-style buildings are arranged in a row; From the left side of the photo, you can find the Canton Customs Building, the Post Building, the New The Sun Department Store (the tallest building in China at the time, the location of the South Building today), the Hong kong - Canton Pier, Ping An Hotel, East Asia Hotel, Sincere Company, New Haizhu Hotel, etc.; and the panoramic photos (There are two split about 19cm and 14cm in the upper part) of Shamin can see the scenery of Shamin Island along the south bank of the Pearl River, shaded by greenery, and there are many bungalow buildings in it, and becoming the concession of Canton, the main consulate and politics, Financial organizations are established here, the Wuzhou passenger ship in the middle of the photo is one of the main passenger ships that often travel between Canton and Hong Kong; Both photos are printed with advertisements from Ah Fang Photography Studio. The photos are very clear, and the signboards of the buildings on the Bund are mostly readable, every rare and valuable. Note: Ah Fong Video Photography Staudio was founded by Chen Yantong, who was born in Chikan Village, Xiqiao, Nanhai in 1895. It was one of the famous photography studios in Canton that year, leaving many excellent and precious photos for us. The Hollywood Studio in Hong Kong was also founded by him.
