1866 (8 Aug.) envelope from Pietermaritzburg "via Mauritius to Aberdeen, carried on the Saxon from Durban via Mauritius to Galle, the Bengal from Galle to Suez and the Massilia from Alexandria to Southampton, bearing 3d. blue strip of four each cancelled "1" and with despatch datestamp at left, arrival datestamp (21.10) on reverse; crease between two of the adhesives and small flap faults though an attractive franking
