1859 (7 Sept.) piece bearing 3d. blue pair and a single (minor soiling around perfs.) cancelled with Crown datestamp, showing "cape-packet/devonport" datestamp (26.10) having been carried on the Waldenstein from Durban to Cape Town and by the Norman on her fifth return voyage, an early date of use of the Perkins Bacon 3d.; and 1859 (10 Nov.) envelope from Durban to London bearing 3d. blue cancelled with Crown datestamp and showing manuscript "6", carried on the Waldenstein from Durban to Cape Town and by the Athens on her fourth return voyage
