1842-49 entires/entire letters (7) nearly all from Cape Town, six rated "8" and showing handstamps of Brixham S6, Dublin S3, Folkestone S4 (rated "5/4"), Plymouth S6 (no Cape markings), Portsmouth S16 (2, one written at Observatory by Mary Maclear, wife of Thomas Maclear, Astronomer Royal, the other possibly written at Grahamstown), and Ryde S5 in blue (posted at an inland location); the last with a corner fault, the strikes generally fine
