Note: This error was first reported in "Philately from Australia" in March 1952, although no distinction was made between the shades and direction of the watermark. The certification of this stamp led to its listing in the 2010 Stanley Gibbons catalogue. It is interesting to note that this error is not mentioned in "Stamps of Victoria" by Geoff Kellow.
