1909-13 Essays
A requisition was passed to De La Rue on 15 December 1909 calling for a new one-colour issue. During the next few years the printers submitted a number of different essays each with a vignette based on the "Badge of the Colony" but none were ever adopted and the idea was finally dropped.
10/- in brown-lilac, vertical format, affixed to card (90x115mm.) lettered "B" and dated "Dec 29th 09", fine
