1946-49 First Map Issue chiefly mint specialised collection attractively written up on pages with a variety of printing flaws and listed varieties including ½d. to 1/- pairs variety gap in 80th parallel, ½d. block of four from the foot of the sheet with 'poke' for 'pole', 1d. upper left corner pair with missing 'i', 3d. strip of four with part imprint and 'teardrop' flaw (2) and imprint block of eight with the same variety, 4d. block of six with 'poke' for 'pole', 1/- used on cover to Buenos Aires, left stamp variety 'poke' for 'pole', corner blocks of four with plate number and gap in 80th parallel, 2d., 6d., 9d. and 1/- imprint blocks of eight, ½d. to 1/- corner blocks of four with South Georgia considerably enlarged etc. A lovely lot for the specialised King George VI or Falkland Islands collector
