1861 (21 Jan.) envelope from Cape Town to Spain, bearing 1855-63 1/- bright yellow-green (lifted and replaced) tied by triangular obliterator, showing red crayon "11", London Pai transit c.d.s. (4.3), blue "franco" h.s. with despatch and arrival datestamps on reverse; the envelope has been cleaned and heavy staining reduced. Also 1861 (20 Dec.) unstamped entire to Spain, carried privately to London where it was put in the post by forwarding agents, J.R. Thomson & Co (27.1.62), rated "1/-", showing oval-framed "pd", "franco" h.s. and London and arrival datestamps
